Casey Tanswell launches Autumn-Winter 2014
Think Gothic with a 70’s twist… Drawing inspiration from Scarface and Tim Burton’s Dark Shadow, Casey Tanswell’s latest collection is definitely for the empowered woman. Strong 70’s silhouettes with a modern edge make these pieces a must-have for winter.
Structural leather jackets and long legged 70’s trousers paired with scalloped French lace baby doll dress and bow blouse, Casey has covered all the elements in this collection to summon striking yet feminine looks.
Of course we can’t forget her luxurious variety of fabrics – buttery Japanese leather trench coats, gowns made of french lace, silk georgette and velvet, Double wool crêpe blouses with slippery silk satin linings and silk Devore velvet backless gowns.
This is Casey’s third season and her label’s philosophy is already becoming apparent. We have worked extensively with Casey to perfect the design and cut of all garments.Continue Reading

Although we have been pumped for production lately delivering several new ranges for clients we still had time to create this spectacular show stopping dress for a much loved Made For Me Client.
You could say the design was inspired by the clients own personality with an elegant metallic lace forming the outer layer and a silk satin lining.
The dress is finished with a metallic sequin waistband.
Our in-house tailor and sample machinist extraordinare Kozue even had to break out the protective eyewear and pliers to complete the work.Continue Reading

Casey Tanswell’s inspiration for her spring summer 2014 range draws mystically from La Belle Époque… and perhaps places beyond.
The artistic aesthetic of Casey’s designs took us all on a journey back to unhurried times when dressing was more ritual than routine. Casey warps old worlds with the new choosing exquisite French laces, flowing silks and buttery soft lamb skin finished off with laser cutting and digital printing. Casey is based in Queensland but chose to set up camp in Sydney so that she could be involved throughout the pattern development process and worked alongside the pattern making team. Caryn Luxton Design is managing production for the range.
