There has been some pretty interesting work through the studio recently including patterns for boxing gloves, a new bulletproof vest and a stunning made to order ball gown.
We know the fits will be perfect but we will happily leave the product testing to someone else.
Fresh from an outstanding showing at Australian Fashion Week Rachel Gilbert has engaged Caryn Luxton Design to produce her interpretation of Kate Middleton’s Royal Wedding Dress.
The dress is the centrepiece of a promotion running on 2DAYFM’s Kyle and Jackie 0 show to advertise the release of Bridesmaids ‘the movie’ in cinemas in Australia in June.
Before a winner is announced the dress will complete an Australia wide roadshow.
So far the order includes over thirty metres of Duchess Silk fabric and two metres of Chantilly lace.
We were delighted to be asked to create the patterns for Jayson.
Jayson’s designs did generated some controversy but as they say “all publicity is good publicity.”
Fiona Byrne for the Herald Sun writes that Jayson’s inspiration for the designs comes from Elvis movies from the ’60s and early-’70. The look features three designs – a low-cut dress, a romper suit and a high-neck mini.
